Our First Family Vacation

We took Eric down to Carlsbad to visit some friends and had an interesting trip. Our hotel room was a joke- extra small bed (with a 6'4 husband), an air conditioner that worked only when it felt like it, and a crib for the baby that had the hard plastic corners exposed for Eric to ram his head into all night. We ended up cutting our trip short by a day, but had a good time with our friends.

Eric had his first trip to the beach. He liked the sea gulls, but was not a big fan of the water (which was pretty cold), the sand or the kelp we tossed on him. He was long overdue for a nap at that point so the beach trip was a short one.


The happiest Eric was the whole trip- playing with the take-out bag!
