Eric and Allison: Ally's Birthday Party

Ally had boatloads of fun at her birthday party! The day didn't start out so well- I woke up to rain (rain on June 6th!) and Ally had her 2 year checkup at the doctor.

Ally is 37 3/4 inches and 31 pounds! My little giant! She is pretty healthy (other than her raging upper respiratory infection) and has easily met all of her milestones. She does have higher cholesterol however. We will probably have to do a fasting test to make sure it isn't as high as it is. There is a family history, so it may be unavoidable.

After returning from the doctor, Jeff and I had to decide how to handle her party. Did we really want 11 kids, most 2 or younger, playing in our house? We knew we didn't want them eating pizza and cupcakes in the house for sure, so we set up tables in the garage.

Once the party started, it was like the heavens opened up. It was literally cloudy and gloomy until 3:00. I walked outside at 3:15, felt that the grass was dry and sent the kids outside! It was actually hot- we had to change the kids into shorts! It was a gorgeous day, and has been the only nice day all week!
